3 Gentle Exercises for Improved Strength and Mobility

You don’t need a gym or complicated workout routine to start building strength after 50.

These three gentle exercises—seated leg lifts, wall push-ups, and chair marches—are simple ways to begin improving strength and mobility at home.

Move at your own pace, use sturdy supports, and start with what feels comfortable.

100 Squats a Day: Free Squat Tracker

Building stronger legs doesn’t have to mean spending hours exercising.

When I started my own wellness journey, I made squats part of my daily routine. Sometimes I broke them into four sets of 25 throughout the day.

Those little pockets of movement helped me stay consistent, even on busy days.

This free squat tracker can help you record your progress, whether you’re starting with 5 squats or working toward 100.

Remember, 100 is my personal goal, not a requirement. Start where you are and build at your own pace.

Mindset & Meditation 🧘‍♀️

Taking care of ourselves isn’t just about what we eat or how much we move. Our thoughts, emotions, and daily habits matter, too.

One thing I’ve learned on my own wellness journey is that lasting change begins with how we think about ourselves.

Sometimes taking a few quiet minutes to slow down, breathe, and refocus can help us approach the day with a clearer mind.

A Meditation for a Healthier Mindset

I wanted to share this guided meditation as another resource you might enjoy.

Meditation isn’t a shortcut to weight loss, but it can be a helpful way to practice mindfulness, manage stress, and become more aware of our habits.

Sometimes all we need is a little encouragement to keep going.

A Little Encouragement Every Sunday 🦋

That’s why I created The Simple Wellness Note — a weekly email for women over 50 who want to feel stronger, live healthier, and enjoy life along the way.

Every Sunday, I share simple thoughts about healthy habits, strength, gluten-free living, faith, mindset, and everyday life.

No pressure. No perfection. Just real-life encouragement from one woman to another.

I’d love to have you join me! 🦋
